The British Council in partnership with the Ministry of Education and Science are organizing a public lecture by Genevieve White “Shakespeare in contemporary education”. This lecture is one of the first British Council global programme Shakespeare Lives events in Lithuania celebrating Shakespeare’s genius and his impact 400 years after his death.
Genevieve White has been teaching English for almost twenty years. She has worked in Hungary, Romania and China and currently teaches in the Shetland Islands. Genevieve has written a range of print and digital English teaching materials. These include a series of British Council lesson plans on Shakespeare and the self-study book 'English for Life: Writing' (Harper Collins, 2014). Recently, Genevieve was lead educator on the British Council/ Future Learn online MOOC course 'Exploring English: Magna Carta'. She is particularly interested in approaches to the teaching of English through literature and history.
The lecture will take place on the 19th of February from 1400hrs, at the Ministry of Education and Science in the Oval hall. The lecture will be in English.
